“Exhaustion” isn’t just “really tired” for most brain injury survivors. Good sleep hygiene (e.g.,
consistent bedtime, avoiding caffeine) is good advice, but it isn’t enough. The extra effort
everything takes post-injury leads to physical, psychological, and mental fatigue. The injury may
interfere with a survivor’s ability to sleep soundly. Environmental, emotional, and lifestyle
