Brain Injury Awareness Month: March 26th

Book cover for Head Cases

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month and I’m posting a new resource every day! Today’s Brain Injury Awareness Month resource is Head Cases: Stories of Brain Injury and Their Aftermath by Michael Paul Mason.

HEAD CASES is one of the first books I read after recovering enough from my brain surgeries to read. Author Michael Paul Mason takes us into the dark side of the brain in an astonishing sequence of stories, at once true and strange, from the world of brain damage. Mason is one of an elite group of experts who coordinate care in the complicated aftermath of tragic injuries that can last a lifetime. On the road with him, we encounter survivors of brain injuries as they struggle to map and make sense of the new worlds they inhabit.
